SO It seems my own user have access to /media/sf_Media/ and its sub directories ( because i can use ls /media/sf_Media to show the contents without sudo) but the docker containers doesn't. I tried sudo chmod -R 775 /media/sf_Media too but that didnt work out. To monitor the logs of the container in realtime: docker logs -f plex-meta-manager. docker exec -it plex-meta-manager /bin/bash.
my host is windows 7 ultimate( if that's important)ĮDIT: I used sudo chmod -R 775 /media and it showed the directories in /media including sf_Media in plex but once I click sf_Media folder in plex it shows up to be empty. Plex-meta-manager is a Python 3 script that can be continuously run using YAML configuration files to update on a schedule the metadata of the movies. Also sorry for my english as its not my primary language Sorry i am new to linux and have been using it only for the last 5 months so please bear with me. Best practices with every service behind a reverse proxy and no containers exposed. 32GB, 16TB - Docker, TrueNAS, Plex Sharing data for Windows/Linux/Mac workstations Super audio player 13 or newer are vulnerable Microsoft Teams app now. Note that docker-compose does not have support for GPUs yet so you will have to do this with docker run for your. Navigate to your Appdata folder or the place where you store all your containers persistent configuration data. Connect to your Raspberry Pi via SSH (secure shell). Next step is to add the -gpus all (see usage here) to your Plex container. Step 1 Create the folders needed for the Plex Docker container. Easy maintenance with every service running inside docker containers. With docker restarted, you should be able to run docker run -gpus all nvidia/cuda:10.0-base nvidia-smi and see the same output as before on the host.
DockerPlex attempts to make the whole process less time consuming. The only downfall to running Plex in a docker container is that you dont have the ability to use hardware accelerated transcoding due to docker not having proper access to the root file system and permissions/access issues to the drivers used to transcode. so what steps must i take so that plex, sonarr, radarr can see my folder as well as all folders within it? Bigger plex setups can take a long time to properly setup and maintain.
I installed docker in it and set up everything from sonarr, radarr, torrent client, plex, etc and after installing everything i realized that plex, sonarr, radarr, etc cant even see my shared folder which is present in my vm as /media/sf_Media. I was setting up a media server in ubuntu server running inside a vm.
